C++ Project

Mar 21, 2012 at 10:47 AM

Hi,

I have a legacy c++ project based on MFC and am trying to use TFSVersioning (Migrating from VSS to TFS2010). However, I can't see to get it working.

Since it does not have assemblyinfo.cs, I thought it should work with the versionseed.xml solution. But it does not seem to work.

Can you help point me in the correct direction as item 10 in the requirements said that it can handle C++ projects.

Thanks in advance.

This is a necessary requirement for me also. Please give feedback regarding unmanaged C++ projects.

Versioning C++ where the versioning process does not employ the .NET standards such as what you see in the "AssemblyInfo" file approach has been looked into.  The decision was made not to try to make it operate within TfsVersioning because of the variability in the requirements and it is significantly different in the way it would have to be managed.  Time/Resources is the biggest limitation so it is not part of the solution.
