Other assembly attributes

Jan 9, 2012 at 4:16 PM

We have been using a shared file, called SolutionInfo.cs, to hold the common attributes for all assemblies in a solution. Any attributes that are specific to a project are kept at the project level in the AssemblyInfo.cs. We are just now in the process of moving to TFS2010 from TFS2008, so we are converting our build process from MSBuild to the workflow process in 2010.

I've introduced TfsVersioning to our build process to replace the custom MSBuild scripts that we used with 2008. Using TfsVersioning has allowed us to remove all of the Assembly attributes from the shared file and manage them in the build definition. But we are still using the shared file to include attributes such as NeutralResourcesLanguage, CLSCompliant and ComVisible.

I was wondering if there are any plans to include these other attributes that target assemblies?

No, I haven't thought of adding those attributes.  But then, no one brought it up before. :-)
